My Body

Last night I went running for a quick mile after eating lo-mein.  (Highly not recommended.)  I got home, stretched briefly and stumbled into the bathroom.  As I sat in the tub shaving my legs before showering, I realized my body is my own again.

Still Nursing

“Are you still nursing?”

I get that question more frequently now. The gentle emphasis on still. The awkward pause while I remind myself to answer without a dozen defensive explanations.
